User Data Deletion

Respite Link — housing placement platform

You can request deletion of your Respite Link account and the personal information connected to it at any time. This page explains how to make that request and what happens afterwards. For details on what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

How to request deletion

  • Inside your account (fastest). Sign in to Respite Link and use the support option inside the app (the support button available on every signed-in screen). Send a message saying you want your account and data deleted — our team receives it and responds to you.
  • Through your housing agency or caseworker. If a housing agency or caseworker is helping with your application, you can ask them to submit the deletion request for you.

Please include the name and phone number or email address on your account so we can find and confirm the right record before deleting anything.

What happens after your request

  • We confirm the request with you and verify it comes from you or your authorized agency.
  • We delete your account, your housing profile and qualification answers, your uploaded identification and proof-of-income documents, and the communication records connected to you.
  • We stop using your information for outreach, matching and follow-up as soon as the request is received.
  • Deletion is normally completed promptly after verification; we let you know once it is done.

Information we may retain

Some records may be kept even after a deletion request, where housing program rules, funder requirements or law require it — for example consent records, placement records and audit trails used to verify that sharing and placements were properly authorized. These retained records are kept secure, are not used for marketing or outreach, and are deleted when the required retention period ends. If you have questions about a specific record, ask us when you make your request.

Questions

If you have questions about this page or how your information is handled, contact the housing agency or caseworker helping with your application, or use the support options inside your Respite Link account. See also our Privacy Policy.
